Several points from the USDA-NRCS National Resource Inventory (NRI)
were modeled with the farm scale APEX model. NRI points are inventoried
over time to track land cover/land use changes that occur in the
national landscape. Overland flow information is now collected on points
that are adjacent to water bodies and this data was used in APEX to
simulate the effect of application of best management practices. This
internal pilot project was completed in order to identify modeling data
gaps in the NRI. |
