Conservation Tillage Alliance EQIP Education
Grant –Educational Video

The Central Texas RC&D Council assisted the Blackland Conservation Tillage Alliance in preparing a grant for $20,000. The grant funded the production of a video that demonstrates the benefits of applying various conservation tillage applications ranging from no-till to reduced till. The video promotes the soil and plant benefits typically not associated with this practice.

This video is a collaborative effort between Monsanto Chemical Company and USDA-NRCS. It focuses on areas where Blackland prairie soils are present. Typically, this area occurs in nearly 14,500 acres in 22 counties. There is a large audience for this tool. It can also be easily adapted for other major land resource areas.
