Lakehills Civic Center

The Alamo RC&D Area, together with the Medina Lake Betterment Association, received a grant from the San Antonio Area Foundation for $8,500 and about $61,000 from the Kronkosky Foundation to renovate the Lakehills Civic Center in Bandera County.

The center services 5,000 residents in the rural areas of Lakehills, Pebble Beach, Mico, Lakewood Estates, Lakewood Park, Alamo Beach, and Pipe Creek. The grants provided the opportunity to renovate the facility and to improve services to youth, senior citizens, and the community at large.

The improvements enable the Medina Lake Betterment Association to offer recreational programs, exercise programs, arts/ theater performances, pet vaccination programs, community events, and a meeting location to its customers.
