Conservation Reserve ProgramThe Farm Service Agencies’ Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) financial
assistance to eligible farmers and ranchers to receive annual rental payments
and cost-share assistance to establish long-term, resource conserving cover on
eligible farmland. Through CRP NRCS provides technical assistance to
participants in addressing natural resource concerns in an environmentally
beneficial and cost-effective manner by planning and implementing approved CRP
practices. The program is funded through the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC).
CRP is administered by the Farm Service Agency, with NRCS providing technical
land eligibility determinations, conservation planning and practice
