Objective:
EQIP funds will be used to support brush control efforts in selected
watersheds. Efforts will focus on cost share for initial and follow-up brush
control by local cooperators. EQUIP funds will leverage state funds to increase
available water through brush control and grazing management.

Pedernales
Watershed. - High Priority
Brush Management on Prickly Pear and Christ Thorn– all approved methods in
Pedernales Watershed. - Medium Priority
Brush Management on Persimmon – all approved methods in
Pedernales
Watershed. - Low Priority

Cost Share Rates:
Limited Resource Farmer/ Producer - 90 percent
Beginning Farmer/ Rancher - 50 percent
All other categories - 50 percent
Practices will be cost shared based on the established county average cost of
the practice.
Incentives:
Prescribed Grazing - $5/Ac/Yr
Includes all pastures in the grazing rotation.
