Resource Concern: Water Quality
Eligibility
Commercial swine operations or participants approved for
the use of animal waste from swine (solid manure, waste water, compost) on
agricultural land.
Priority for Funding
High Priority
Existing Swine Operations applying practices related to waste handling and/or
nutrient management. All high priority applications will be ranked for possible
funding.
Medium Priority
All new swine operations (no swine sold from facility) and non-swine operations
approved for the use of animal waste from swine on agricultural land. Medium
priority applications will be ranked for possible funding only after all high
priority applications have been funded.

Limited Resource Farmer/Rancher - 90 percent
Beginning Farmer/Rancher - 50 percent
All Others - 50 percentPractices will be cost shared based on the established county cost of the
practice.
