Studies in "Conservation of Natural Resources" Workshop

The teacher workshop "Studies in Conservation of Natural Resources" was held June 13-15, 2006 at the Franklin Family Ranch in Blanco, Texas. There were 40 teachers from all areas of Texas who attended the workshop. Topics covered included: Wildlife Management; Project Wild; Soil – The Foundation of Life; Grass Management and Plant ID; Rainfall Simulator demonstration; Prescribed Burning and Beat the Baron Waste by LCRA. The workshop was sponsored by the Pedernales Soil & Water Conservation District, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Texas State Soil & Water Conservation Board, Lower Colorado River Authority and HOLT CAT.
