AGLearnAll United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) federal employees, partners and contractors must take two Computer Security Literacy Courses. USDA-NRCS EmployeesEmployees will use their ICAMS id to access the AGLearn site and take the courses listed above.Partners and ContractorsIf a partner or contractor has obtained access to any of the following systems, please skip to the next step that applies.Step 1 - Establish an AGWEST ID and password If you are a new partner or contractor (anyone hired after 8/05), you must follow the new process for getting a user set up on the USDA Network. Please go to Background Investigation or contact your Information System Security Point of Contact (ISSPOC) Pat Harris (254) 742-9952 to obtain the security packet for this process. The Background Investigation (BI) is returned to ISSPOC and processed in Human Resources. Upon receipt of all BI information, ISSPOC submits a request to ITS for creation of a new user ID in Active Directory to get an AGWEST login and password. Step 2 - Obtain a Level 2 eAuthentication Account Eauthentication accounts are established for our partners and contractors in order to facilitate access to USDA Web services that allows access to agency applications that have eSignature options. Partners and contractors should go to the eAuthentication site to apply for their Level 1 eAuthentication account. Please go to eAuthentication for further instructions. Step 3 - Enter Affiliates Information Go to the Affiliates Web site: https://affiliates.sc.egov.usda.gov/AffiliateList.aspx District Conservationist (DC) creates the Organization record that the partner is affiliated (if this is not already done). DC creates the individual record for the district employee. *** The security section is filled in with N/A or Not required on all 3 sections. While still in Affiliates database, DC will go to Link Manager tab and link the Partner’s E-Auth to the Affiliates Database. Step 4 Register at AgLearn Access to all registration steps is via the AgLearn Web site www.aglearn.usda.gov. Select “New User -- Register” from the left hand menu. Click on the Register Link. Login with your E-Auth ID and Password. At the User Registration screen: Verify your name, address, email, and phone number are correct Select the Agency of Sponsoring Individual. Select the most appropriate entry from the drop down list; i.e., NRCS-External-TX-PARTNER or NRCS-EXTERNAL-CONTRACTOR. Select Name of USDA Official to Sponsor Access to AgLearn – (For partner employees select the sponsor name in the state of the office you work). (For Contractors, select Sherry Casper). This person will receive an email to activate your account. Indicate whether you are Contractor, Yes or No If you are a Contractor, enter the name of your company. After completing all information on the User Registration screen, click Submit Registration. Step 5 Wait until the USDA State Training Officer, or AgLearn contact (for contractors only) that you designated as your sponsor activates your account. This may take up to 3 working days. They will contact you upon activating your AgLearn account by email. This now allows the partner to take the USDA Security Literacy and Basics FY 2006 training course through AgLearn. This course will be added to the partner’s Learning Plan by the Training Officer.
