FWP Training Scholarship

The Federal Women’s Program (FWP) Advisory Committee is providing an opportunity for all Texas Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) employees to apply for a scholarship to fund a self-improvement training course such as a workshop, Internet or correspondence course, etc. not scheduled by the agency.
Some course examples are:

  • Self-Help

  • Personal Development
  • Computer Applications
  • Technical Training

This scholarship will only cover the initial cost of the course up to a maximum of $150.00. The scholarship will not include per diem costs. Employees will be allowed government time and the use of government equipment as applicable.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Applications for courses related to skills/abilities that will assist an employee to improve his/her job performance will receive the highest priority.

It is an employee's responsibility to obtain the necessary approvals/authorizations from his/her supervisor to participate in any approved training.
